My client, a global leader in medical technology, is looking for a passionate and experienced Shift Engineering Technician to join our team in Plymouth.
You'll be part of a dynamic team, playing a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines.
Responsibilities: Guide and support Production Technicians in developing their skills in fault diagnosis and understanding new and existing technologies.Identify and implement process improvements to reduce costs, increase efficiency, enhance quality, and improve safety standards.
Leverage systems like MES, SAP, and production downtime data to drive these improvements.Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical and mechanical issues within our production areas.Maintain and improve equipment performance through preventative maintenance and repair.Lead small process improvement projects, working with cross-functional teams (Toolroom, Quality, Validation, etc.)
to ensure successful completion.
Requirements: Proven track record in a high-volume assembly and manufacturing environment.Solid understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, robotics, electrical and servo systems.Strong communication skills and a positive, collaborative mindset.Have completed an onsite apprenticeship or hold a ONC / HNC / NVQ in an Engineering subject.
