The Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Shift based Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team.
This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in both electrical and mechanical engineering , particularly those who enjoy technical challenges and problem-solving.
You will be responsible for maintaining machines, focusing on preventative maintenance and reactive repairs when breakdowns occur.
Additionally, you will play a key role in modernising the production environment, working on a mix of older legacy equipment and newer technology.
As a key expert, you will collaborate with project teams, provide technical insights, and contribute to process and system improvements.
Previous experience in manufacturing environments (preferably chemical or food production) will offer a solid foundation to ensure machines operate efficiently.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct preventative maintenance to minimise machine breakdowns.
Respond to breakdowns and perform repairs, focusing on root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
Provide technical support for project work aimed at modernising equipment.
Collaborate with a team of skilled engineers and apprentices, sharing knowledge and learning from others.
Ensure the smooth operation of production lines, keeping machines running efficiently.
Work in clean room and plant room environments .
Fault finding on PLCs What We're Looking For: A multi-skilled engineer or experienced electrical maintenance engineer eager to grow and learn.
Ability to work independently and manage your own shift.
Ability to fault find on PLCs Previous experience in chemical or food manufacturing environments is advantageous.
