GTR Design is the design studio arm of Global Trade Review (GTR), the world's leading publisher and event provider for the trade finance, supply chain and commodity finance markets.
We are looking for a Middleweight Designer based in the United Kingdom to join us full time in a fully-remote capacity.
The role The Middlewight Designer will support the Creative Director and Lead Designer with the output of GTR's in-house publishing and event products as well as GTR Design's work for clients who include some of the world's biggest banks.
The role will be split approximately 30% print, 30% digital, 40% motion, so good understanding of and ability with Adobe After Effects is vital, as is an excellent skill level with Adobe InDesign.
This is a role where the candidate is able to really make their mark on the look and feel of the company's market-leading events' graphics and the Middleweight Designer will be tasked with leading the ideation and creation of our digital event presence from day one.
A great deal of autonomy will be afforded to the Middleweight Designer and so it is vital that the successful candidate is organised and confident, able to make good decisions and prioritise their workload effectively.
Responsibilities Working remotely using remote software, the Middleweight Designer will be able to collaborate seamlessly with the design, marketing and logistics teams to ensure consistency of designs across various media outlets Lead and advise on the design of the motion graphics at events, maintaining awareness of new design trends and technology standards in order to deliver the most innovative and engaging solutions Creation of magazine layouts, print event materials, digital and print marketing materials and more Musts Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field Minimum 3 years of experience working in graphic design Adobe Creative Suite: excellent with InDesign, strong in After Effects and Illustrator Able to communicate clearly and make considered decisions Have excellent attention to detail and good typographical understanding Demonstrate strong organisational skills and solid technical (Mac/Adobe) knowledge A portfolio of work which demonstrates editorial design, typography, your expertise with After Effects and, ideally, experience with event/large format design Have a large screen and good internet - your home Mac will act as internet as you remote onto the Macs in the studio How we work Although GTR Design's team is not based in London, our parent company Global Trade Review (GTR), is, so some infrequent trips to London for social events will be required (summer and Christmas parties).
GTR offer a competitive salary, 25 days of holiday per year plus an extra two days at Christmas, and we are flexible as to the successful candidate's starting date with us.
