They are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Merchandiser to join their team and play a pivotal role in driving sales and optimizing our online product offering.
Role Overview As a Merchandiser, you will report to Head of Product, you will manage the product lifecycle, from selection to sale, ensuring the right products are available online to meet customer demands.
You will analyze data to make informed decisions on stock levels, pricing, and promotions while working closely with buying, marketing, and supply chain teams.
This role is crucial in maintaining a competitive edge in the e-commerce space.
Key Responsibilities Product Management: Ensure the right products are live on the website, accurately described, and visually appealing.
Stock Control: Monitor stock levels and liaise with the supply chain to ensure product availability and minimize overstock.
Data Analysis: Use sales and trend data to forecast demand, plan stock levels, and optimize product performance.
Pricing and Promotions: Set competitive pricing strategies and manage online promotions to maximize sales and margin.
Website Optimization: Collaborate with the e-commerce team to ensure products are displayed in a way that enhances the customer journey.
Reporting: Produce weekly and monthly performance reports, identifying trends and opportunities for growth.
Collaboration: Work closely with buying and marketing teams to align on product launches, campaigns, and promotional strategies.
Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activity, and customer preferences to inform merchandising decisions.
Requirements Experience: 2+ years of experience in a merchandising or similar role, preferably in an e-commerce or retail environment.
Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in using e-commerce platforms and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Excel).
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
