Medical Director/Consultant Psychiatrist Salary: Up to 160,000 Our client is a highly regarded provider of inpatient mental health services.
They are committed to offering a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to treatment.
This exciting opportunity allows you to work within a service focused on providing a safe, stabilising environment for patients in crisis or requiring emergency admission.
The ideal candidate will be a fully GMC registered Consultant Psychiatrist with significant experience in adult psychiatry and mental health diagnosis.
They will have a strong commitment to delivering exceptional care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
For this role, you will need: Full GMC registration with a relevant medical qualification.
Proven experience working in a mental health setting.
Strong leadership and clinical skills, with extensive experience in line management and effective communication.
In-depth knowledge of all aspects of clinical governance.
Skilled in conducting medical appraisals, providing clinical supervision, and managing cases effectively.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities Work within a dynamic multidisciplinary team (MDT) to assess, treat, and stabilise service users.
Take overall responsibility for treatment plans in collaboration with the MDT.
Perform examinations, diagnoses, and treatment for service users.
Lead risk assessments, risk management, and the embedding of clinical governance within the service.
Participate in ward rounds, clinical audits, and reviews of Mental Health Act documentation.
Supervise reports for Mental Health Act tribunals and managers' hearings and attend hearings as necessary.
Provide clinical leadership and supervision to junior staff, supporting their development.
Participate in the telephone on-call rota.
