Mechanical Design Engineer - Contract

IC Resources is working with a Manchester based client who is looking for a freelance Mechanical Design Engineer for one of their exciting, newly funded projects.
The Company Outside IR35 Hybrid work model - 3 days a week onsite Manchester based 6 month contract with potential extension The Requirements Create and manage 3D CAD models and drawings in Solidworks, following ISO and BS standards for various part types (machined, cast, moulded).
Oversee engineering drawing control, document management, and changes through ECN procedures.
Perform 3D thermal and stress analysis, contribute to design reviews, and support reliability testing and analysis.
Develop manufacturing documentation, jigs, fixtures, and ensure compliance with RoHS and WEEE standards.
Investigate new suppliers, materials, and processes for cost reduction and process improvements.
