Marketing Specialist (12 month FTC - Maternity Cover) Salary; £35,000, dependant on experience Minimum 4 years' experience in a marketing role Office Based - Southampton (up to 2 days WFH after probation) This role is for an experienced marketer with a strong knowledge of the Fitness and Outdoor Recreation markets.
Reporting to the Segment Marketing Manager, you'll build and deliver effective marketing outputs to support product launches and campaigns, to maximise ROI.
You'll be responsible for the delivery of go-to-market plans including event activations, retail marketing plans and sponsorships.
You'll take ownership of projects and will have autonomy to deliver agreed plans, ensuring brand consistency, compliance and quality at all times.
This role requires an autonomous, driven individual with strong marketing experience.
The perfect candidate will be capable of building and executing effective plans to engage local audiences, whilst always retaining the global brand identity.
Key Duties Work with the Segment Marketing Manager on retail marketing activity, sponsorship activations, event delivery and help brief the internal Social, E-commerce and PR teams on required initiatives.
Support the Segment Marketing Managers to develop and deliver successful marketing plans for product launches and campaigns through effective planning, communication, collaboration and project management, to maximise ROI Contribute towards excellent cross-functional co-ordination of all marketing activity for relevant segment(s) Where required, work with our key retailers to drive excitement for our products and deliver effective marketing activations which drive Garmin brand awareness, consideration, and sales.
This may include attending Quarterly Business Review and Range Review meetings with some domestic travel and overnight stays Support the Segment Marketing Managers to plan and deliver effective sponsorship activities through good relationship management, communications and project management Support the Segment Marketing Managers to project manage brand events and expos for relevant segments and optimise the events calendar to drive segment and business goals.
The role includes some weekend event work Support the localisation of global campaign material, ensure all assets are delivered on time and are compliant by liaising with Global, EMEA, Legal, and 3rd parties where required Act as a guardian of the Garmin brand by ensuring that all assets & communications adhere to Garmin brand guidelines and are consistent across channels Act as the internal advocate for your segment(s), maintaining excellent product knowledge and driving excitement and engagement Work on ad-hoc projects and tasks where necessary Education, Experience, Capabilities and Personal Qualities Four years' experience in a similar marketing role (brand, retailer or agency) Must possess a strong working knowledge of all marketing channels Demonstrated practice of project management across a variety of marketing channels – must include event experience, as well as sponsorship delivery Experience managing brand campaigns with large-scale budgets from brief to PCA.
