This is a Senior position within our practice,and you will be a member of the Management Support Team who work closely withand support our Managing Partner and the Deputy Manager.This is a full time role requiring a flexible approach to your working day, and hours to ensure full support is provided to the RCN Team.

Main duties of the job You will haveoverall responsibility for the RCN Team (Reception Care Navigator Team)You will workclosely with the Managing Partner, the Deputy Manager, the Management Support Team and ourGP Partners.You will guideand support our Senior Reception Care Navigators.You will overseeour RCN including full involvement with recruitment, training, appraisals andany other HR matters as required by the Management Support Team.You will maintainthe RCN staff rotas ensuring an adequate daily provision of cover at all timesand arrange additional hours where required.You willcoordinate and monitor your teams overtime, annual leave and absences.You will ensure yourRCN team are professional and presentable at all times.
You will ensure yourRCN team are aware of, and follow procedures, protocols and strictconfidentiality at all times.
You will ensure yourRCN team manage all clinical tasks such as:- triaging and scheduling appointmentsto the appropriate clinical resource; - the processing of prescriptions timelyand accurately, - new patient registrations, data entry,- fully engage and support with seasonal healthcampaigns -work closely with our inhouse Pharmacy, our CareHomes and all other external professionals who contact or attend the surgery.Please see Job Specification for full details of responsibilities, skillset and experience.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential - Educated to A Level standard - Relevant Managerial/Supervisory Experience and Qualification - Minimum 2 years experience of working in a management or supervisory role - Experience of working in a confidential environment - Experience of working with EMIS Web, ICE, Docman, accuRX and other primary care clinical systems Desirable - Knowledge of PCN Working Experience Essential Skills and attributes would be: - Proven track record of managing a Reception Care Navigator Team within a healthcare environment, ideally with experience in GP practices.
- Knowledge of EMIS web, Docman, ICE and other general practice systems are desirable.
- Experience in working in a fast moving and changing environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to enjoy and multi-task effectively.
- The desire and ability to teach and train in a calm, committed, supportive and motivational manner.
- Honest, enthusiastic and confident in a Senior Managerial role.
