Maintenance Technician - Plumber

The RoleTo maintain a range of buildings services, plant and equipment, which can sometimes be complex and non-routine by diagnosing and repairing faults as they occur.
You will Maintain NHSL's mechanical, electrical plumbing, associated building services plant and building fabric assets to a high standard.
You will also carry out planned preventative maintenance including any corrective maintenance required using work requests and completing all records and documentation required.This will include the planning and prioritising on a day-to day basis of their workload and material management requirements to include documentation, completion and sign off.
The postholders are then required to liaise with contractors and staff to ensure that disruption is kept to a minimum and safe working practices are observed, especially in areas where staff, patients or visitors may be in the vicinity of the work being carried out.NHS LanarkshireHave you always wanted to work with NHS Lanarkshire?

NHS Lanarkshire is comprised of Acute Services (which currently provide hospital based services over 3 main sites), Corporate & Property & Support Services, North and South Lanarkshire Health and Social Care Partnerships which provide integrated primary healthcare and social care services to local communities and surrounding areas.What we'll need you to bringCompletion of apprenticeship in Mechanical or Electrical Bias plus an HNC or equivalent, with additional non-core training qualification at SVQ level or equivalent.Experience of working in an estates service environment.Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of current statutory legislative requirements.Experience of inspecting and planning working in relation to PPM and Reactives.Requirement to undertake in house training relevant to position such as specific statutory training, Archibus, Learnpro and Toolbox Talks.Additional knowledge through training is also required for Portable appliance testing, periodic testing washer disinfectors, maintenance person sterilisers, asbestos awareness, legionella awareness and prevention, tube system maintenance, plc controllers, steam/Boilers etc to achieve competency and / or accreditation.Accredited Boiler/Steam course resulting in postholders gaining accreditation and ensuring the organisation meets HSE and Insurance requirements regards competent persons.Specific Medical Gas training and Medical Gas Pipeline Systems training is provided to ensure post holders have the required knowledge and can be deemed competent persons.Sterilisers and autoclave accredited courses are provided to ensure competent person status.Healthcare Ventilation course to ensure competent person status.Specialist manufacturer courses are provided for unique equipment used in and industrial scale e.g.
Specialist laundry equipment.
Post holders are also required to develop additional skills through training provided in other specialist areas e.g.
Complex Air Conditioning systems as evidenced throughout the Job description.
