Machine Operative Ross On Wye - Insulation Your future job Permanent Position: Shift Pattern – Monday to Friday, 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm on a weekly rotating basis ( hours per week).We are seeking a skilled and motivated Machine Operative to join our team.
The role involves performing all Machine Operative tasks to a high standard while continuously challenging the status quo.
You will play a key part in driving innovation, continuous improvement, and upholding quality, health, safety, and welfare standards.
For ambitious individuals, this position offers excellent opportunities for growth and career progression.Responsibilities:Complete all MO1 tasks to a high standard, by constantly challenging the status quo and be at the forefront of evolution, continuous improvement, quality and health, safety & welfare.
Whist promoting Unilin's core values of openness, integrity, adaptability, customer focus and team approach.Key Accountabilities:Health & Safety - To encourage and practice working in a safe working as set out in the Health and Safety policy.Quality Standards -Ensure they are supporting the team in performing to quality standards in terms of product quality and housekeeping.Trial / Improvements - Participate in processes and production trials as and when required to ensure that they run successfully and support the technical department.Area / Line Performance: Adherence to plan and achieving line speeds, meeting standards required.
Able to share knowledge with others and support with 'in house' training.
Communication - Effective communication throughout the department.
Ability to communicate with people clearly and effectively.Administration - Carry out necessary administrative tasks and ensure that systems are updated as required.Ensuring correct and accurate data recording.Key Attributes:• Team player who will work with others to achieve company goals • Hardworking with an ability to meet deadlines• Customer focused attitude• Ability to follow instruction • Ability to work on own initiative• Effective communication skills • Good problem solving abilityKey Tasks and Duties:• Work within the ethos and standards of the company• Work in all areas of the factory • Complete training on all functions of MO1 Grade 1• Keep good housekeeping standards in all areas• Keep up to date knowledge of all products• Ensure waste is discarded in appropriate manner.
• Follow work instructions in all areas• Ensure you comply with Health & Safety regulations • You are responsible for your own Health & Safety and the Health and Safety of your fellow employees• Ensure all data to be recorded is accurate and up to date• Actively participate within the team to ensure and maintain high standards• Responsible for ensuring that all targets are achieved.
• Accurate setting up of any machine to ensure start up is completed on time• Communicate with Shift coordinators, Leaders and team to ensure they are aware of any issues within your designated area.
• Work and communicate with other member of the team to ensure transfer of information with regard to your role• Ensure quality guidelines are followed for all areas • Undertake flexible working hours to meet deadlines• Undertake any other tasks appropriate to the position, as requested by management This description is provided to offer you an outline of the key features of your job but is not limited to this description.
