Job summary We are looking for passionate locum GPs to join our team and providecrucial winter capacity for patients with minor illnesses, from ages 0 and up.You will play a key role in reducing A&E attendance and supporting ourvision of establishing a long-term minor illness hub in our community.This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference, in an area withpockets of deprivation, by providing access to care closer to home.
Main duties of the job You will be confident to work independently within this role; providingthorough assessment and treatment of patients from the age of 0 and up; toassess and treat a variety of minor illness.
Appointments will be booked by 111and local GP practices.

Job description Job responsibilities You will be working independently within a host GP practice with a remote line in to the support team at Herts Health.You will see, assess and treat 5 patients per hour presenting with minor illness; providing treatment plans to support patients to manage minor illness within the community.Where appropriate you will signpost and/or refer patients to follow up services and order investigations using the EMIS Clinical System.
Person Specification Vocational Training Essential Basic Life Support Safeguarding Adults and Children (Level 3) Anaphylaxis Sepsis Equality and Diversity Infection Control (Level 2) Experience Essential Primary Care GP Use of EMIS clinical System and supporting IT packages such as DXS, TQuest, ICE, Docman Qualifications Essential License to practice and full registration with the GMC
