NHS Lanarkshire is seeking to appoint an experienced General Practitioner as a Primary Care Locality Lead in the Coatbridge Locality within North Lanarkshire.Expressions of interest in this post are welcome from General Practitioners working in any of the localities in NHS Lanarkshire.
Job-sharing proposals will also be considered.
The Locality Lead will provide leadership for medical staff within primary care in support of the operational and strategic goals of South Lanarkshire Health and Social Care Partnerships.
In doing so they will promote working with the principles of inclusion, transparency, collaboration and integrity.The post holder will work within the locality with colleagues across the whole health and social care partnership to optimise clinical care and promote the development of innovative models of service that support the national primary care transformation agenda.
The post holder will work closely with the locality manager and other key locality staff to engage and support medical staff in the locality in delivering these changes.
The post is offered on a 2 PA's per week basis and initial appointment will be for 2 years duration with potential renewal thereafter.
Remuneration will be at the top of the consultant salary scale.
