The role of Class 1 Relief Tramper driver entails the critical responsibility of executing bulk collections and deliveries between various DPD sites and customers nationwide.
The position requires operating a modern fleet on an agreed shift pattern, delivering palette loads to HGV-friendly locations.
Key responsibilities include: ? Undertake a minimum of four nights per week away from base, utilizing secure company locations for overnight stays in the vehicle.
? Operate within a designated region surrounding the base depot, ensuring efficient route management and timely deliveries.
? Maintain strict adherence to all road safety regulations and company policies while operating heavy goods vehicles.
? Ensure the proper handling and security of all cargo during transit and at delivery points.
? Accurately complete all required documentation, including delivery receipts and vehicle inspection reports.
? Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with safety standards.
? Promptly report any vehicle malfunctions, accidents, or delivery issues to the appropriate supervisors.
? Maintain a high level of professionalism when interacting with customers, representing the companys values and standards at all times.
? Participate in mandatory training sessions to stay current with industry regulations and company procedures.
