Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen in ourdepartment for a qualified Pharmacy Assistant to join our team, gain anaccuracy checking qualification and progress to our new Band 4 Lead PharmacyAssistant post.The role is varied and constantly evolving tomeet the needs of the service, which delivers pharmaceutical care to communityhospitals, mental health inpatient wards, mental health community teams andspecialised clinical services across Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
You will work with a diverse range of staffand patients, so must be able to work collaboratively to deliver the highestquality of care, and to encourage the development of others, the service andyourself.
Role is 25 worked between 9 5 across Monday to Friday.
Currentlythere are no weekend duties, bank holiday working or late nights.

Main duties of the job Main duties for the post holder includeDispensingactivities including final accuracy checks of pharmacist clinically screenedprescriptions ( once qualified).Supervise/line manage designated members of staff.Take alead with tasks relating to either medicines procurement, pharmacy IT systemadministration or stock delivery to wards.

Person Specification Experience Essential Previous experience of working in a hospital or community pharmacy.
Previous experience of stock control work.
Previous experience in a customer or patient care setting.
Qualifications Essential GCSE (or equivalent) grade 4 or above in Maths, Science and English Language (all 3 are required).
NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services (or equivalent).
