Role Definition Supplier facing role which requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills and computer literacy as you will be liaising with farmers, vets, and livestock and abattoir teams to ensure Animal Welfare is maintained and cattle are processed in line with legislative requirements.
Hours of Work Monday to Friday, 6am until finish, full time, permanent position.

- Unloading of the cattle.
- Ensure that the cattle are present along with their passports.
- Ensure that the cattle are penned appropriately following company procedures.
- Work strictly to the company procedures and ensuring all the relevant paperwork is completed correctly.
- Ensuring that all information/data entered into lairage systems is correct.
- Ensure all Animal Welfare requirements are always met with regards to water/feed/bedding.
- Ensuring any anomalies with regards to the cattle is clarified in a timely manner.
- Keep work area consistently clean and free from debris, spillages, and contamination.
- Adhere to PPE use and requirements.
- Retain confidentiality on sensitive information.
- Carry out any reasonable duties as required by the business.
- Maintain responsibility for operational effectiveness of equipment and machinery.
Report any faults to supervisor and Engineering.
The booking in of cattle via our computerised system Ensuring high standards of animal welfare are kept at all times Liaising with farmers General lairage and housekeeping duties Report any issues/concerns to Line Manager Personal Specifications Hygiene - To ensure best practice is adopted at all times for staff control, product and environmental hygiene.
Health and Safety - To ensure job observations, risk assessments are up to date and to comply with Health & Safety regulations. Be pro-active in trying to reduce risk in accidents.
Training - To constantly review training needs in all areas, administer development and attend training as applicable.
