Laboratory Manager

Our?world-leading Time & Frequency department ?are seeking an experienced and practicing Lab Manager.
As Lab Manager, you'll enjoy collaborating with prominent Scientists, Engineers, and Specialists in Time & Frequency;?to?ensure   - Our laboratories and assets are fit for purpose and well maintained,   - Our procedures and activities are compliant, and    - Our people have the appropriate guidance and support to operate safely and securely.
You'll be our first point of contact for HSE best practice and keep the laboratory space safe.
Additionally, you will support Scientists to navigate regulatory compliance for procurement of new capital and ensure we have the highest safety, environmental and regulatory standards for all equipment across the department.
Key responsibilities:   - Ensuring the safety and compliance of the labs within the Time & Frequency department   - Liaising with Estates to ensure both planned, preventative and reactive maintenance takes place with minimal disruption to the science   - Ensuring risk assessments are created and updated to reflect the work undertaken in the labs   - Act as single point of contact with Estates and H&S departments for lab upgrades and refurbishments   -  Control and maintain key equipment including regular calibration certificates updates     This role will require you to work in both an office and laboratory environment, at the Teddington site.
