The Role: We are seeking an ambitious and proactive Key Account Manager - Building Optimisation to join our dynamic team.
In this role, you will take full ownership of the solution sales journey, from lead generation to closing deals, working closely with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored energy reduction solutions.
You will be responsible for selling energy monitoring, analysis, and management services, along with a range of onsite and remote BEMS (Building Energy Management Systems) services, all aimed at helping customers optimise their buildings.
Where the business case presents itself, you will also be selling advanced building optimisation software, such as digital twins and plant diagnostics, to further enhance the efficiency and performance of client facilities.
Your background in sustainability, smart buildings, or BEMS will be invaluable as you identify opportunities to optimise our clients' Buildings and drive energy efficiency.
Key Responsibilities: Business Development Planning: To meet and exceed revenue and margin goals, you must develop and implement strategies to generate your own opportunities through multiple channels, including; existing customers, networking, cold calling and digital marketing.
Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, understanding their unique needs and providing customised solutions.
Quoting for new services and contract uplifts in line with the company's commercial standards.
Sales Ownership: Take full responsibility for the sales process, from initial contact to closing the deal, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
Solution Selling: Work closely with clients to identify their objectives and challenges for energy reduction and building optimisation.
Presenting solutions around energy monitoring, analysis, management services, and advanced software solutions such as digital twins and plant diagnostics to key stakeholders.
Market Analysis: Provide regular reports complete with industry trends, competitor activities, and market opportunities to drive business growth.
Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including technical specialists and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions that meet client needs.
About You: Technical Knowledge: Experience in sustainability, smart buildings, Building Energy Management Systems, or mechanical and electrical optimisation.
Passionate About Sustainability: A genuine interest in energy reduction and its impact on businesses and the environment.
Sales Expertise: A proven track record in sales, business development, or account management, with a focus on building long-term relationships.
Self-Starter: Highly motivated and proactive, with a strong ability to self-generate opportunities and pursue leads independently.
Results-Driven: A strong focus on achieving targets and delivering exceptional results for clients.
Travel: Must have a flexible approach to travel, working from home, office and travelling to different sites and customer locations.
Location: It is essential that you hold a full driving license and are located within travelling distance of Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire, Wiltshire & Dorset.

Benefits Salary up to £55,000 depending upon experience A generous bonus scheme A wide-ranging company car scheme (that includes fully electric vehicles) or the option of driving your own car and being paid a monthly car allowance BMSI is an employee owned company, which you would become part of after 12 months service A contributory pension scheme (the Company contributes 6% of your basic salary) Free private medical insurance with BUPA Life assurance of 4 x annual salary 25 days holidays, plus public holidays, with the opportunity to buy an additional 3 days per annum.
