OCU Nettworx (Part of the wider OCU Group) are currently looking for a Junior Project Manager to join their team in Newbury.
As a Junior Project Manager you will play a key role in supporting the planning execution and delivery of projects within our organisation.
You will work closely with senior project management staff to assist in coordinating project activities tracking progress and ensuring that projects are completed on time within budget and to the required quality standards.
Duties and Responsibilities: Project Planning: Assist in the development of project plans schedules and budgets in collaboration with senior project management staff and key stakeholders to define project scope objectives deliverables and timelines.
Resource Management: Coordinate the allocation and utilisation of project resources including personnel equipment and materials to ensure that project activities are adequately resourced and aligned with project requirements and priorities.
Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a point of contact for project stakeholders both internal and external and facilitate communication and collaboration among project team members clients vendors and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of project goals and expectations.
Risk Management: Assist in identifying assessing and mitigating project risks and issues and developing risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to minimise the impact of potential disruptions or delays on project delivery.
Project Monitoring and Control: Monitor project progress against established plans budgets and milestones and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify variances trends and areas for improvement and take corrective actions as needed to keep projects on track.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and uptodate project documentation including project plans status reports meeting minutes and other projectrelated documentation and prepare regular reports and updates for project stakeholders and management.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that project deliverables meet the required quality standards and specifications and conduct regular reviews and inspections to verify compliance with project requirements and client expectations.
Lessons Learned: Participate in project postmortems and lessons learned sessions to capture feedback identify best practices and areas for improvement and apply insights to future projects to enhance project management processes and outcomes.
Skills and Experience: Bachelors degree or equivalent qualification in project management business administration engineering or a related field.
Previous experience in a project management role such as project coordinator assistant project manager or project support officer is advantageous but not essential.
Strong organisational analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritise tasks effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and interact professionally with stakeholders at all levels.
Proficiency in project management software and tools such as Microsoft Project Primavera P6 or Asana and Microsoft Office applications (e.g.
Word Excel PowerPoint).
