Job description: As a key player in our Merchandising team, based in Watford at the Warner Bros.
Studio Tour - The Making of Harry Potter, youll take charge of the seamless operation of your designated area, working closely with the Senior Merchandising Manager.
You will be responsible for driving sales and maximising margins through strategic stock management and collaboration with our Buying team.
Together, youll propel the business forward with innovative strategies, insightful planning, and thorough performance reviews.
Your Role Accountabilities Conduct weekly meetings with the product development and product management team to update on the critical path and deliveries.
Coordinate with the warehouse and ecommerce teams to tackle issues with purchase orders, out-of-stocks, delivery issues, supplier performance, and ways to enhance merchandising actions to support warehouse operations.
Partner with the global Tours & Retail teams to fully realise their growth potential.
Collaborate with Warner Bros.
Product Development, Buying & Sourcing teams, and negotiate with suppliers and distributors on quantities and timescales.
Provide the wider team with sales information as required and assist in planning and preparing for range meetings.
Work with the head of department and WB logistics to maintain freight forwarder relationships, ensuring cost-effective goods transportation.
Develop merchandising strategies that balance customer expectations with business objectives, while staying aware of market trends and competitor activities.
Mentor and develop the Merchandising Assistant and support the day-to-day running of the department, stepping in for the Senior Merchandising Manager when needed.
Analyse sales figures, customer reactions, and market trends to anticipate product needs, plan product ranges/stock, and update the business on product performance.
Manage weekly intake plans, open-to-buy for all products, and maintain accurate purchase orders, ensuring availability targets are met and exceeded.
Monitor stock movement, propose markdowns, promotions, price changes, clearance pricing, and make suggestions for discontinuing lines to maximise margins.
Required profile: Omnichannel merchandising experience.
High level of analytic ability to interpret data and trends.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially in Excel.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.
Ability to influence and present ideas positively and professionally.
Proactive and able to motivate yourself and others.
Contribute effectively to team success.
Previous experience at Assistant Merchandiser level or similar.
Working Pattern This is a full time position (40 hours), working Monday to Friday.
