Japanese Teacher Location : Stoke dAbernon Salary: £45 per hour Job Type : Self-Employed, Part Time, Permanent The School, a specialist music school based in Stoke dAbernon, Cobham.
The Role They are seeking to appoint a part-time self-employed Japanese Teacher to teach their pupils both at GCSE and A Level.
Applicants must be a native level speaker or near native level speaker of Japanese and have experience teaching Japanese to different levels of bilingual pupils.
You will be required to teach 3 hours per week (ideally Monday 9.30am until 12.45pm.
Key Responsibilities Teaching and Learning: To prepare and deliver outstanding Japanese lessons to individuals or small groups of bilingual pupils.
To prepare pupils for A Level and/or GCSE Japanese exams.
To instil a love of learning and a passion for languages and communication.
To assess pupils progress and mark work diligently and promptly.
To provide excellent teaching and learning resources.
To write end-of-term reports, enter half-termly effort and attainment grades, and set exams as required.
To liaise with the Head of MFL about all matters relating to the position of Japanese teacher.
Safeguarding: To ensure pupils are safe from harm, abuse and neglect.
To log any concerns on the schools CPOMS pastoral reporting system.
To uphold the schools ethos of safeguarding and child protection.
To maintain professional, caring and positive relationships with pupils.
To attend safeguarding training as required by the school.
General: To display exemplary professionalism at all times.
To attend staff meetings, INSET and parent consultations as required.
To uphold the schools values and ethics and abide by the staff code of conduct.
To perform other duties, as reasonably requested by the Head.
