As part of the internal IT team, this role will be the first point of contact for users when they develop an issue with any element of IT in the business.
The candidate must be able to communicate effectively to understand the root cause of the problem and then take ownership to get the issue resolved for the user either independently or with the assistance of others, ensuring that the user is always kept informed of the progress.
In this role, youll work towards yourLevel 3 IT Support Apprenticeship,delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
A Typical Day in the Job: Main point of contact for user IT issues.
Work independently, as part of a team and with external support partners, to diagnose the root cause of issues and to ensure that all issues are resolved successfully, and timely.
Update and maintain the IT ticket system with all updates so that all parties are aware of the progress regarding a case.
Add, maintain, and remove user records and permissions through Active Directory and other system administration functions.
Set up and deploy new hardware, including laptops, desktops, mobile phones, tablets, etc., to users and ensure that the user can access any specific software requirements.
Ensure all IT records relating to asset management are always kept up to date.
Ensure that IT documentation is kept up to date with changes to processes or systems.
Communicate with all levels of the organisation regarding issues and resolutions.
Support with the administration of IT purchase orders, ensuring that IT related orders are raised and received in line with current procedures.
Any other duties that may be required Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.
Salary, Hours & Benefits: £25,000 per annum Monday to Friday 08:30am 5pm (flexibility available) 20 days plus bank holidays, increases with service each year.
