The Role
The Fixed Income Portfolio Specialist will be responsible for servicing existing clients and building the business across a broad range of fixed income strategies across European fixed income.
The role sits as part of the investment team and serves as a primary interface into internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Be fully integrated in the investment team to understand portfolio positions, market outlook and investment themes.Support the engagement with sales, client services, product development, operations, marketing and other departments, to help respond to client requests and raise net new assets.Participate in the production of client-facing collateral including presentations, RFPs, and marketing materials.Help to represent the investment team with current and prospective clients.High quality communication (through written materials, calls and in-person meetings) with internal and external parties.Analyse and problem-solve complex client queries and problems as they arise in a timely manner.Support, train and mentor other members of the team. Skills Required Undergraduate degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.Prior knowledge and relevant experience working within the fixed income markets, preferably within the asset management industry in a similar role.Demonstrable relationship management experience of working with cross-functional teams as well as with business development contacts, prospects and clients.Proven project management skills with the ability to work in a team-based culture and environment; to behave always bearing common interests and respect for fellow team members in mind.Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.Exceptionally self-motivated and demonstrate an entrepreneurial / business development mind-set.High degree of dependability, independence and attention to detail.A problem solver with the ability to prioritise a multitude of tasks successfully, while maintaining high quality.Familiarity with tools such as Bloomberg, Aladdin, MS PowerPoint and Excel.
