The purpose of this role is to provide administrative support to the Investment Management Team.
Primary tasks · Assist with the production and recording of clients' orders within Custody procedures and the Portfolio Management Solution (PMS) system.
· Maintain the daily Trade Log by collating the trade logs of the investment managers.
· Collate and collect individual contract notes from Custodians and file them in client files.
· Reconcile the trade details on the individual contract notes with the Trade Log.
· Undertake time sensitive, regulatory, mandatory, manual trade reporting to the London Stock Exchange on the Unavista reporting system.
· Input orders for trades onto the Custody platforms in conjunction with the PMS system – as instructed by investment managers.
· Monitor the overdrafts created through investment activity and cover where appropriate.
· Prepare and send instructions for outgoing / incoming payments as required.
· Monitor, maintain and map restriction data and alerts within the PMS system including internal reporting to compliance and management.
· Assist with the creation and filing of commentary to support investment decision-making.
· Assist with the production of internal performance and attribution data analysis and commentary.
· Assist with the production of client information packs and reports for distribution.
· Provide cover and integrate with the existing HIM team.
Essential skills / criteria: · Suitable for somebody with minimal experience, looking to learn on the job.
· Administration experience (maximum 3 years) in the financial services, preferably the investment management industry, is an advantage but not essential.
· Must be flexible, innovative and adaptable.
· Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with people at all levels of the organisation.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Organisational skills and ability to handle multiple projects at one time.
· Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
· Knowledge of Expersoft and Intelligent Office is an advantage but not essential.
