Role Purpose: The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for contributing to overall supply chain performance in a fast-paced environment, ordering stock from our suppliers into our distribution network.
The Inventory Coordinator supports the Inventory Manager in delivering the best possible availability for our customers.
The Inventory Coordinator must work collaboratively alongside our supply chain, commercial, retail and distribution teams, taking responsibility for ordering a diverse portfolio of products from a number of suppliers.
A typical day in this role includes: Interacting with a variety of stakeholders: Suppliers, Commercial, Distribution, Retail Operations Ordering stock to maintain availability in our distribution network Sharing with Commercial colleagues any stock availability challenges and working together on a resolution Contribute to the overall Supply Chain strategy by delivering on a set of objectives and KPIs Be inquisitive in analysing data to identify areas of opportunity or areas of risk Provide insightful stock and availability updates to help with overall business decision making This job is a good fit for you if: You enjoy working as part of a customer focused team You enjoy a fast paced, challenging environment You enjoy analysing data You are organised and have good attention to detail You are proactive and forward thinking You are inquisitive and enjoy solving problems You enjoy developing and maintaining cross functional relationships You get satisfaction through delivering on set objectives and KPIs What you'll need: Ideally experience in supply chain or order management within a retail environment, however candidates with transferable skills would also be considered Ideally you need to understand the core principles of a distribution operation and inventory management Ideally you will have strong Microsoft Excel skills You need to have a can do attitude You need to be a team player You need to be proactive, enjoy problem solving, and root cause analysis You need to be resilient and able to adapt to an ever growing and evolving business You need to be eager to learn and will take pride in your own personal development You need to have the confidence to share your ideas and recommend solutions to problems
