Job Advert: KS2 Intervention Teacher Position: KS2 Intervention Teacher Location: Accrington Contract Type: Part-time Start Date: January 2025 Salary: £120 - £150 per day About Us: At our school,  we are committed to providing an inclusive, supportive, and challenging learning environment for all our pupils.
We aim to nurture and inspire each child to reach their full potential.
We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic KS2 Intervention Teacher to join our team and help make a significant difference to the learning outcomes of our pupils.
The Role: As a KS2 Intervention Teacher , you will work with small groups and individual pupils in Years 3 to 6, delivering targeted intervention programmes to help close any gaps in learning, boost progress, and raise attainment.
You will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to identify and support children who require additional support, both in English and Mathematics, and provide tailored interventions that meet their specific needs.
Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging and effective intervention lessons in English and/or Maths for pupils in KS2.
Work with small groups of pupils or on a 1:1 basis, delivering high-quality, differentiated teaching to support learning progress.
Assess pupils' progress regularly and adjust interventions accordingly to meet individual needs.
Collaborate closely with class teachers to track pupils' progress, identify areas of need, and implement targeted strategies.
Build positive relationships with children, encouraging and supporting their academic and emotional development.
Provide feedback to pupils and parents on progress and achievements.
Contribute to the overall development of the school's approach to inclusive education and intervention strategies.
The Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience teaching in KS2, with a sound understanding of the National Curriculum and age-appropriate expectations.
A passion for supporting pupils with a variety of learning needs and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Experience in delivering interventions to small groups or 1:1 is desirable.
A patient, creative, and flexible approach to teaching, with a commitment to raising standards and fostering a love of learning.
