Interim Health & Safety Co-Ordinator

The Interim Health and Safety Co-ordinator role at Haygrove is integral to fulfilling our objective to put safety first in everything that we do.
This role encompasses our UK business and is an integrated central role focusing on all aspects of health and Safety, mitigating the risks associated with running an Agriculture business.
You will need to be flexible, have high energy and have the practical intelligence to apply legislation in a practical way, often in a muddy field.
Responsibilities: Provide appropriate expert, timely (reactive and proactive), cost effective and practicable advice and guidance to managers and employees on safety matters in order to comply with legal and moral health and safety standards.
Support and influence managers & staff to ensure that they understand and adhere to appropriate practices consistent with current legislation and industry best practice.
Provide appropriate and targeted support on procedures and guidance to managers and employees.
Review business unit performance and provide support and direction to identify areas requiring development and improvement.
Carry out a programme of active management, safety audits and inspections Carry out detailed investigations and report on significant accidents, incidents and near misses.
Data evaluation and production of monthly and ad hoc reports.
Write and review internal health and safety documentation Maintain records of safety inspections, risk assessments and training sessions Ordering PPE / RPE and ensure stock levels are acceptable Ensuring plant register is correct, updated and maintained, organising servicing/calibration of equipment at regular intervals when due Update and support the H&S Management System, T100 Experience: NEBOSH or equivalent diploma Experience with the agricultural industry, or similar.
Experience within a Safey advisory role.
Comfortable working under pressure Skills and Competencies: Flexible and adaptable Humble Practical intelligence that allows legislation to be applied in a practical and supportive way.
Ability to deal with others with a high level of emotional intelligence A high level of personal energy and an ability to energise others.


Nominal Salary: To be agreed
