I'm recruiting on behalf of my client, an IT Solutions firm (MSP) an IT Engineer to join their technical team on a hybrid working basis.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep technical knowledge of various IT systems and technologies, including Windows desktop and server environments, Veeam backup solutions, Office 365 administration, Azure cloud services, Hyper-V virtualisation, and 3CX phone systems.
Salary: £35,000 depending on experience Responsibilities: Provide second-line technical support to clients, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Windows desktop and server environments.
Manage and maintain Veeam backup solutions, ensuring data integrity and disaster recovery preparedness.
Administer Office 365 environments, including user management, email configurations, and security settings.
Deploy and manage Azure cloud services, assisting clients with migrations, implementations, and optimisations.
Configure and maintain Hyper-V virtualisation environments, monitoring performance and ensuring high availability.
Support and maintain 3CX phone systems, assisting clients with configuration, troubleshooting, and upgrades.
Collaborate with the first-line support team to escalate and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.
Document and maintain accurate records of technical configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Assist with project implementations, including system upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure deployments.
Stay current with industry trends and best practices, continuously expanding technical knowledge and skills.
Skills required: Proficiency in Windows desktop and server operating systems, including Active Directory and Group Policy management.
Experience with Veeam backup and replication solutions, including configuration and troubleshooting.
Strong understanding of Office 365 administration, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams.
Knowledge of Azure cloud services, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and security.
Familiarity with Hyper-V virtualisation technology, including setup, configuration, and management.
Experience with 3CX phone systems, including installation, configuration, and support.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Veeam Certified Engineer) are a plus.
