Job summary We arelooking for a reliable and enthusiastic Registered Nurse to provide avaccination service to our patients within the surgery, at home and inresidential settings.
This is a part time role working 24 hours.
You will work as part of our nursing team, in and aroundHereford, and there is some flexibility around the hours you may choose towork, weekdays and weekends.
Ideally you will have worked in a primary caresetting, in a similar role, and have past experience of vaccinating patients,providing advice and guidance on vaccinating.
You will need to have your owncar, to provide a community service, and will be remunerated for the use ofyour car.
You will work to national guidelines and follow our Patient GroupDirectives and working with our Immunisation Co-coordinators.Pleasecontact for any further information Main duties of the job Consultations:Clinical assessment of patients for vaccination, reviewmedical history and potential adverse reactions.Provide an immunisation service to our registered patientsin the surgery, in the patients own home and within residential and nursinghomes.Provide immunisations to both children and adults in linewith the national childhood and adult programmes, to include seasonalcampaigns.Provide supervision and support to HCAs as required on-site.Work within National guidelines , written instructions andPatient Group DirectivesThe post will include lone working, and you will be requiredto travel to various locations.Document all patient contacts as appropriate on our clinicalsystem.CPD / Practice Admin.Attend regular clinical updates and mandatory training asrequested Provides summary feedback of any updates and learning pointsfollowing courses/meetings as appropriate.Maintain professional portfolio.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential 1st level NMC Registered General Nurse, with at least three years post registration.
Safeguarding training Qualities/Attributes Essential Able to demonstrate enthusiasm.
An understanding, acceptance and adherence to the need for strict confidentiality.
Ability to use own judgement, resourcefulness and common sense.
Ability to work without direct supervision and determine own.
workload priorities.
Ability to work as part of an integrated multi-skilled team.

Able to use own initiative.
Experience Essential Experience of dealing with the public/patients in a primary care setting.
Experience of delivering vaccinations within a primary care or hospital setting.
Desirable Experience of EMIS clinical system.
Knowledge and skills Essential Competent in basic nursing duties required for the post.
Excellent communication skills.
A demonstrable commitment to professional development.
Other Essential Flexibility of working hours/ able to work at the desired times.
Access to own car to carry out home/care home visits.
Clean driving licence with business insurance.
Desirable -Experience of Primary Care.
