HR, Compliance, and Governance Manager Salary: £38,000£42,000 per annum (dependent on experience) Location: Waterloo, Borough of Sefton Hours: 35 hours per week We are seeking an experienced HR, Compliance, and Governance Manager to oversee our compliance, governance, and HR functions.
This pivotal role ensures that my client remains compliant with all regulatory, legal, and HR standards, while providing expert advice to our leadership team.
The successful candidate will serve as the Information Governance and Data Protection Officer, leading on GDPR compliance and ensuring the confidentiality of data.
Additionally, the role will manage our HR systems, recruitment processes, and provide oversight of office and facilities management.
Person Specification Human Resources Management Lead and manage HR systems, policies, and processes, ensuring compliance with employment legislation.
Oversee recruitment, induction, and exit procedures.
Collaborate with external HR advisers to ensure up-to-date employment policies.
Manage employee reward systems to attract and retain high-quality staff.
Provide guidance and support to line managers on HR issues.
Compliance and Governance Act as the organisations Information Governance and Data Protection Officer.
Ensure adherence to GDPR and NHS Data Security standards.
Oversee compliance with the Modern Slavery Act and other relevant legislation.
Develop and implement control systems to monitor organisational compliance.
Office and Facilities Management Manage the organisations buildings, leases, and maintenance contracts to meet health and safety regulations.
Oversee contractors providing building-related services.
Ensure suitable premises for employees and visitors.
Support for Governance Provide secretariat support to the Board and subcommittees.
Ensure timely management of contracts and legal agreements.
Prepare and present compliance, governance, and HR reports.
Essential Skills and Qualifications: CIPD Level 5 or equivalent experience.
Strong knowledge of HR practices and employment law.
Proven experience in compliance and governance management.
High proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience managing a small, skilled team.
Desirable Skills: Knowledge of property leases and building maintenance contracts.
Understanding of charities and their operations.
Experience with Quality Assurance systems and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
