HR Assistant (2 year fixed-term)Manchester We are looking for a HR Assistant to join our busy People Services team.
The ideal candidate will be supported with a thorough induction package, and will have the confidence to quickly utilise their skills and experience to pick up a varied range of people-related tasks.The General Medical Council as an organisation helps to protect patients and doctors, and improve medical education and practice in the UK, by setting standards for students and doctors.
We support them in achieving (and exceeding) those standards and act accordingly when these standards are not met.As a valuable team member, you will be responsible for delivering HR administration for managers and colleagues throughout the GMC.
You will be tasked with providing advice around day-to-day activities, including, but not limited to, onboarding, pay and employee benefits, absence management and casework support.
You will have the opportunity to support in disciplinary or grievance procedures through notetaking, which will provide valuable exposure and experience to any upcoming HR professional.
The role supports the People Operations Team and management on a wide variety of people related initiatives, whilst demonstrating commitment to supporting a diverse range of our people.An ability to understand HR related policies, processes and procedures is important.
An understanding of GDPR, privacy initiatives, and the ability to always maintain confidentiality and discretion is essential.
You will need to have strong organisational skills, dealing with several priorities at the same time, whilst maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
