Housekeeping Assistant

Main Purpose: The primary responsibility of the Housekeeping Assistant is to ensure a clean, hygienic, and pleasant environment for service users.
This role is integral to maintaining the overall well-being and comfort of the residents, aligning with CrossReach's commitment to high standards of care.
Key Responsibilities: The Housekeeping Assistant is expected to maintain cleanliness throughout the facility in accordance with CrossReach standards.
This includes assisting staff with various housekeeping tasks, working under the direction of senior staff or according to a rota, and supporting service users in keeping their personal spaces tidy.
Additionally, the role involves helping new staff develop housekeeping skills, attending staff meetings and training sessions, and completing necessary Health & Safety training, including COSHH.
The Assistant will also participate in service evaluations and ensure all tasks meet quality standards.
Other relevant duties may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications: No formal qualifications are required for this role, though experience in a care setting is beneficial.
Skills and Experience: The ideal candidate should have basic computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet use.
A respect for Christian values is essential, and membership in the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme, along with successful vetting, is mandatory.

As a Christian organisation, you will need to have a respect for all aspects of Christian worship.
You will also need to become a?member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks.
