The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic, financial, and day-to-day operations of the facility, ensuring high-quality care delivery while liaising with clinical and non-clinical staff and partner organizations.
This role requires a deep understanding of political policies and local circumstances affecting health services.The hospital offers a dual purpose, providing mental health services alongside a nursing home environment.
About you: Qualification : Mental Health Nurse with a valid UK NMC PIN.
Management Experience : Significant senior management experience at the Hospital Director level or higher, preferably in an acute care setting.
Financial & Operational Management : Proven track record in managing financial and operational aspects effectively.
Change Leadership : Experience in leading service improvements and transformational change initiatives.
Project Management : Skilled in managing complex projects and fostering effective partnerships with stakeholders.
Leadership Style : Dynamic, passionate, open, participative, and supportive approach to leadership.
As a Hospital Director, you will be responsible for: Strategic Leadership: Consult with medical, business, and community groups to address service issues, enhance public relations, coordinate activities, and promote health programs.
Policy Development: Develop and implement organisational policies and procedures to ensure high standards of care and compliance with regulations.
Mental Health Oversight: Lead on assessments and treatments related to the Mental Health Act 1983, ensuring appropriate care delivery.
Recruitment & Training: Direct the recruitment, hiring, and training of personnel to build a competent and compassionate workforce.
Supervision & Evaluation: Oversee the work activities of all personnel, including medical, nursing, technical, and clerical staff, ensuring effective service delivery.
Resource Management: Monitor the use of inpatient beds, facilities, and staff to ensure efficient resource utilisation and assess the need for additional resources.
Financial Management: Conduct and administer fiscal operations, including budget planning, authorising expenditures, and coordinating financial reporting.
Compliance & Safety: Inspect facilities and recommend modifications to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation regulations.
Program Development: Develop and implement health services that promote research, rehabilitation, and community health.
Reporting & Analysis: Prepare activity reports to inform management of program statuses, quality initiatives, and service utilisation.
