Job Purpose: We are looking for a Highways Communications Team Scheduler & Supervisor to oversee the planning, scheduling, and safe operation of Advanced Warning Sign (AWS) delivery and collection for planned roadworks in Surrey.
You'll ensure all operations are conducted efficiently, in line with company policy, and with a focus on delivering excellent customer satisfaction and compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities: Plan and supervise AWS delivery and collection services across Surrey Highways.
Ensure all work meets the contractual obligations agreed with Surrey County Council.
Lead, train, and support your operational team, ensuring their competence and safety in carrying out duties.
Maintain client relations by addressing queries, resolving issues, and updating on progress.
Manage stock levels for signs and printer accessories.
Organise and conduct training for staff, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures.
Generate reports, maintain accurate records, and manage project timelines effectively.
Key Requirements: Valid UK driving licence.
At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project, TEAMS).
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Experience with planning, supervision, and understanding of traffic management (Chapter 8).
SSSTS certification (preferred).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Measures of Success: Meeting performance targets related to service delivery.
Ensuring timely completion of AWS delivery and collection jobs.
Maintaining positive client feedback and meeting service-level standards.
