We have a fantastic opportunity at one our schools in Northampton for an experienced and interactive Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join the team on a full time, permanent, term time only basis.
With small class sizes, excellent facilities, outstanding behaviour and a values-based ethos to support staff and student wellbeing, you will be adept at coaching our students to see and lead through challenges in their learning, so they make the best possible progress in each and every lesson.
The students are provided with innovative teaching, empowered by new technology, including Zoom and the Learning Management System 'Canvas'.
Aligned with local curriculum, the students are supported by teachers to take ownership of their learning as part of our Self-Directed Learning pedagogy.

You will: Have full working knowledge of relevant current policies, codes of practice and legislation within the education sectorExperience of working with children of relevant age in a learning environmentWorking knowledge and experience of implementing national curriculum and other relevant learning programmes and strategiesUnderstanding of statutory frameworks relating to teachingMeet Higher Level Teaching Assistant standards or equivalent qualification or experience (NVQ Level 4/5)Grade C/4 or above in GCSE Maths & EnglishTo set an example of positive personal integrity and professionalism, with positive, appropriate and effective communications and relationships at all levelsUphold and promulgate the OSG ethos within all areas of responsibility Key responsibilities: Monitor pupils progress and assessing, recording and reporting on pupil's achievement, progress and development will be integral to this roleProvide learning support for pupils and teachers within a Self-Directed Learning philosophyTake a lead role in the provision of support for children with special educational needs and disabilitiesTo work with pupils, understanding how to motivate and encourage them to achieve and develop through the development of their attributes, skills and knowledgeTo act as a Key Worker for identified pupils, regularly liaising with parents and staff to ensure progress against Learning Plan TargetsProvide objective and accurate feedback and reports as required on pupil achievement, progress and other matters, ensuring the availability of appropriate evidenceAssist with ensuring that effective systems including Risk Assessments are in place to identify and meet the needs of studentsAnalyse and interpret assessment data to inform Learning Support, expectations and targets timely and as requiredSupport and communicate effectively with staff in their understanding and support for the learning needsTo support the safe delivery of practical lessons over Zoom (e.g.
Art, Food, Design and Technology)Organise and manage an appropriate learning environment and resourcesTo compliment the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for learning activities under an agreed system of supervision.
