Reporting to the Transport and Ground Equipment Manager, the HGV & Plant Technician is responsible for carrying out the effective servicing and repairs of all Jet2.com' s ground equipment.
Whilst the roles available will be based at Manchester Airport, the Technician must be able to travel and work at other bases in the UK and internationally as required.
Excellent time management is essential in this role as you will need to perform daily checks, repairs & servicing in line with Jet2.com and manufacturers requirements.
You will identify and report defects, ensuring auditable paperwork is completed and submitted accurately and on time.
By co-ordinating with our main contractors at each site you will ensure that Jet2.com equipment is compliant with both local and industry regulatory requirements, including CAP642 and LOLER .
Ensuring the consistent operational efficiency of our equipment is essential to this role.
The successful candidate will have relevant qualifications and experience in electromechanical repairs and servicing of GSE, light commercial vehicles and plant equipment.
With up to date knowledge of current health and safety principles we are looking for someone who shares Jet2.com 's passion for delivering the highest standards in safety.
You will be required to work under your own initiative, so it is vital that you have excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to effectively communicate information as required.
We offer a permanent contract.
The shift pattern is a rolling 4 on, 4 off, 06.00-18.00 although some flexibility is required to cover leave and business requirements.
You will receive you roster 4 weeks in advance.
