The Role and Department As a member of the Estates and Facilities Directorate directly employed labour team, you will undertake mechanical repairs and maintenance work, to an agreed level, in compliance with industry standards, statutory requirements, and relevant codes of practice in a professional and customer-focussed manner.
The Estates and Facilities Directorate provides essential services to Durham University and is responsible for managing, maintaining and developing the infrastructure and building fabric of the various campuses.

Your application should cover the following criteria: Essential Criteria Qualifications/Experience 1.
Five GCSEs at least Grade C or level four (or equivalent) including English Language and Mathematics.

C&G NVQ level 3 Plumbing and Heating or equivalent 3.
Minimum ACSCommercial gas qualifications COCNI, ICPN1, TPCP 1A 4.
Minimum ACS Domestic gas qualification CCN1 5.
Professional craftsperson with knowledge and expertise in buildings, estates services, 6.
Experience of providing advice and guidance to a range of customers and colleagues.

Experience of implementing policies and procedures.

Full driving licence (with no more than six points).
Skills/Abilities/Knowledge 9.
Good spoken and written communication skills including the ability to develop effective working relationships, both internally and externally.

Typical Role Requirements Service Delivery • Show a commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion and the University's values.
