Job summary Are you are a motivated person who has experiences to bring to Outpatients?Do you have a pro-active, forward thinking attitude towards providing an outstanding service for our patients?An exciting opportunity has arisen for a healthcare assistant to join our outpatient team.
The outpatient department is based across a number of general and specialty clinics.
The post holder will develop their skills to support the team to provide an efficient service that delivers first class service to our patients and staff.Band 2/3 salary will be dependent on knowledge, skills an experience.
Main duties of the job You must have basic literacy and numeracy skills and want to develop your knowledge and skills.You will be a motivated team player and be committed to your own professional development.
There is a requirement for you to be flexible to meet the needs of the clinics.
In return we will support you to develop in the role.Working alongside the outpatient team your role would be to support the team in setting and maintaining person centered high quality care and ensuring that patient safety and the patient experience are paramount.

Person Specification Education and Qualifications Essential oBasic literacy & numeracy skills oThe post holder must be able to evidence achievement of Care Certificate or a vocationally related qualification or be willing and competent to complete this within an agreed time frame Desirable oEducated to GCSE level standard incl.
Maths and English oNVQ Level 2 in Care Experience Essential oDemonstrable evidence of wanting to work in a caring environment oPrevious experience of working as part of a team Desirable oDemonstrable insight into behaviours and skills of a carer oPrevious experience of working with the public oPrevious experience in a caring role or hospital environment oPrevious administration experience and keyboard skills Knowledge Essential oUnderstanding of health & safety at work Desirable oKnowledge of NHS Outpatient services oKnowledge of vulnerable adult and child protection issues Key Skills Essential oBasic English language (listening, reading, writing, speaking) proficiency at level 1 functional skills other Essential oFlexible approach to work and working hours - Happy to directly support front line service delivery, as required, in line with personal competences
