SUNOTEC positions itself as an integrated solution provider, covering all services from geology, procurement, engineering and construction services to operations and maintenance and re-powering of plants with a large focus on BESS.
Expanding our UK operations , we are looking for an Health and Safety Manager .
Responsibilities: Manages of a team of HSE Coordinators; Identifies risks and hazards for the construction process of a solar (PV) plans; Manages the HSSE policy and guidelines, ensuring it complies with the customer's requirements and industry best practice; Develops and maintains site-specific documentation and templates that include the Safety Program File (HSSE Procedure), Hazard Identification Risk Assessment (HIRA), Emergency Response Plans, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Site Induction; Manages the effective implementation of appropriate management system & procedures and follows up changes on in legislations and the customer's directive for multiple sites; Participates in HSSE related discussions on on-site, at Contractors' meetings, Clients' Weekly/Monthly Meetings, Safety Committees, etc.
; Assists, delivers, and organizes HSSE trainings to employee and contractors; Coordinates construction teams and EPC contractors to assist and enhance their HSSE competency and delivery; Performs HSSE audits, both internal & external, and inspects project construction sites to verify consistency with HSSE procedures, client requirements, regulatory requirements and Contractors' HSSE plans; Coordinates and assists Site Managers with Incidents and recommend appropriate Corrective Actions and Preventive Actions.
Prepares and follows up those reports and records on weekly/monthly basis; Performs environmental compliance inspections and monitors waste management and system performance; Trains and carries out drills and exercises on how to manage emergency situations; Risk management.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in an Environmental science/Engineering, Health & Safety Environment; Engineer, Occupational Health & Safety, or equivalent qualifications; Safety Expert certification; Expertise in construction safety management systems and electrical safety management; Minimum of 3 years of experience in projects related to construction of PV plants, solar panels installation, etc.
; Knowledgeable in HSSE regulations; Able to often travel throughout UK for managing multiple projects.
