Saeker Limited provides high quality food, fire and health and safety support services to a wide range of predominantly leisure and hospitality clients throughout the UK including hotels, holiday parks and estates.

Continued strong growth has created a fantastic opportunity for a Health and Safety Manager to join our team on a full-time permanent basis.
Reporting to the Manager Director and becoming part of the leadership team, the main duties of this role are as follows: Working collectively and collaboratively with fellow members of the leadership team to fully support the reputational and commercial growth of Saeker, whilst taking the lead for health and safety in this respect.
To provide mentoring, peer review and leadership support to the entire business for health and safety to ensure that you are the first point of call both to all Saeker colleagues and all Saeker clients for health and safety.
·      To lead the development of the strategy of the business with regard to health and safety.
Taking day to day responsibility for decision making, whilst promoting strategic medium and long-term solutions within the health and safety area.
·      To oversee the quality of delivery of consultancy services and audits to clients.
·      Manage and develop the company's risk assessment and policy framework as well as supporting resources for client activities.
·      Develop bespoke client policies, procedures and guidance to an exceptionally high standard.
·      Delivering consultancy support, audits and training for clients, being on site for an agreed number of days each year.
·       Completing detailed health and safety/food safety audits at client premises.
Communicating changes in legislation, best practice and regulator initiatives to clients through regular updates, to include monitoring industry accidents and incidents.
·      To contribute to the development of our training offering, giving expertise and advice.
·       Providing competent advice and guidance in line with client agreements.

To be successful you will need to be confident working in a consultancy environment, offering the best advice with the ability to deliver high standards in all that you do.
Your communication and relationship building skills will be second to none and you will need to be able to demonstrate the following:   ·      Self-starter, proactive and willing to take full accountability for all responsibilities.
·      Minimum of 2 years' post membership experience, as well as prior senior experience in a commercial health and safety role, preferably within the leisure and hospitality sector.
·       Qualified to CMIOSH or CertIOSH working towards full chartered membership.
The ability to build positive working relationships with clients and share key information in an articulate and professional manner.
A problem solving and creative mindset.
A full driving licence; the nature of the role means that car travel will be necessary.
·      A food safety qualification at Level 4 or equivalent is desirable.
The role will be home and field based with frequent trips to client premises throughout the UK that will involve overnight stays.
