Involve Recruitment (Midlands) Ltd are working with a Metal processing company in West Bromwich to recruit for a Health and Safety Assistant!This role will support the Health and Safety Manager with all aspect health and safety and environmental within the business .Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 years' experience in the role and IOSH management with a willingness to work towards NEBOSH Certification (which will be paid for by the company)Daily responsibilities include:Contributing towards the achievement of further SHE accreditationsWorking with the H&S manager to coordinate & participate in site H&S safety inspections, including note takingUndertake risk assessments and produce SSOWAssisting with the annual review of risk assessments, to include COSHH assessmentsAssisting with accident and incident investigationsReviewing, updating and analysing employee training recordsUpdating and maintaining health and safety records, updating signs and notice boardsCo-ordinating and booking industry accredited training coursesPurchasing H&S consumables, signage and PPE, ensuring adequate supplies are maintainedPreparing Health and Safety literature including memos', newsletters and tool box talksAssisting with Health, Safety & Environmental site auditsDesirablesAwareness of Health, Safety and Environmental legislationAn understanding of 14001 & 45001 desirableExperience of working In a manufacturing environment advantageousMinimum 1 year's Health & Safety experienceIOSH qualified – Managing Safely, and be willing to work towards NEBOSH CertificationI look forward to receiving your application
