We are seeking an experienced Head of Retail Sales to lead our sales efforts with major electronic chains across the UK.
This role is critical for driving revenue growth through effective sales forecasting, product launches, and channel relationship management.
You will play a pivotal role in expanding our market reach, managing key accounts, and implementing strategic marketing campaigns.
The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving sales targets, optimising inventory, and driving margin growth.
This is a hybrid role, with flexibility to work remotely and regular travel required across the UK to engage with key retail partners.
Reporting to the CCO, the Head of Retail Sales will be a key member of the sales team, working cross-functionally with marketing, logistics, and customer service teams to drive success.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING Sales Forecasting & Target Achievement Achieve sell-in targets while ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting of sales data Develop a clear pipeline for delivery, breaking down targets into categories such as new business, repeat business, sell-in, and sell-out requirements Collaborate with internal teams to ensure product availability aligns with demand forecasts Product Launch Execution Ensure timely product distribution to maximise launch exposure Create a comprehensive playbook that includes marketing and sales collateral to support successful product launches Work closely with the marketing team to coordinate go-to-market strategies Marketing, Promotional, Pricing Strategy & Margin Optimisation Plan and execute sell-in/sell-out promotions and marketing campaigns to enhance product visibility and sales Implement a "Test & Learn" approach to evaluate the effectiveness of promotional strategies, pricing tactics, and customer engagement Monitor and analyse promotional results to ensure margin optimisation Sell-Through Test & Learn Maximise product sell-through across various channels through strategic initiatives.
Focus on execution effectiveness in-store and online, including promotions, pricing, POS, and product placement.
Develop training programs and staff engagement incentives to improve in-store sales performance New Retailers Increase market reach by identifying and onboarding new retail partners to expand the distribution network Negotiate favourable terms and conditions with new retailers to optimise profitability Channel Relationship Management Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in retail accounts to ensure long-term partnerships Act as the primary point of contact for major retail chains, resolving any issues swiftly and effectively Inventory & Stock Management Manage optimal stock levels, balancing inventory to avoid stockouts or overstocking situations Collaborate with internal teams to address returns, warranty claims, and ensure a seamless customer experience ABOUT YOU Extensive account management or sales experience dealing with major UK retailers Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets and manage key accounts Strong analytical skills for effective forecasting, reporting, and data-driven decision-making Proficient in CRM systems, Excel, and relevant sales forecasting tools Results-oriented with a strategic mindset and a focus on driving sales growth Exceptional organisational skills with a keen attention to detail Ability to work collaboratively across teams and adapt to a fast-paced environment Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills WE'RE OFFERING Travel allowance Competitive salary Performance-based bonuses and commission structure We operate a hybrid working model with the flexibility to work remotely with regular travel required across the UK for retailer visits Professional development opportunities with clear pathways for career advancement
