To this end, we are inviting experienced SaaS product management professionals to apply for an exciting opportunity within our IT team. Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer, this person will play a key role within the Programme and Product Management function and join a team of experienced project and programme management professionals and business analysts.
The purpose of the role: As Head of Product, you will have ownership of the product strategy, planning, investment, delivery and performance for one of Defaqto's flagship SaaS products. As product manager, you will have responsibility for maximising the overall performance of the product in terms of numbers of financial decisions influenced and revenue/product profitability, as well as identifying opportunities to extend or enhance the product and bring new products to market.
Areas of Responsibility: Ownership of the product vision and strategy including roadmap prioritisationDelivery of market and customer intelligenceDriving customer centricity and user experienceProduct profile & loss, product investment caseEnd-to-end product performance measurement and improvementWhat you need to succeed: Experience as a Head of Product or Senior Product Manager in a small to medium-sized firm where you are more than just a small cog in a very large wheel.Demonstrable success in the development and growth of an outstanding SaaS product and working at a senior level in a product management/proposition role.Proven success in the delivery of high-quality digital user experiences that have delighted end-users and performed ahead of the competition.Appreciation and understanding of high-quality user-centric product design.Detailed knowledge of the marketing, sale, expansion, operation, and support of digital products.Entrepreneurial mind-set - we'll be looking out for examples of this on your CV and during the selection process.Experience owning the P&L for a SaaS product and for creating financial forecasts and investment cases to govern the allocation of resources within the business.Relationship building, networking and influencing – your key stakeholders will include the ExCo.Analytical and critical thinking.While you will have a small team working closely with you (BAs, UX, software dev, scrum master and a PM), your emphasis will be at the strategic level, and you will also need to be the sort of person to roll your sleeves up.
Additional Information: Your office base will be in Haddenham but attendance will be on a hybrid basis - around 3 or 4 times each month depending on business requirements. The wider team tend to be in the office at least twice each week so you are more than welcome to work on this basis too if you are local! You will also have access to a London workspace.
We have plenty of free onsite parking and are less than a 10-minute walk from the Haddenham and Thame Parkway railway station (London Marylebone to Oxford line).
