We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Physics to lead our Physics department, inspire students, and drive the development of an outstanding curriculum across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
Responsibilities: Lead and manage the Physics department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
Plan and deliver engaging Physics lessons at all key stages, including GCSE and A-Level.
Support and mentor staff within the department, promoting professional development.
Monitor and assess student progress, implementing strategies for improvement.
Ensure the curriculum is innovative, challenging, and prepares students for academic success.
Collaborate with senior leadership to drive the vision and direction of the science faculty.
About You: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a degree in Physics or a related field.
Proven experience teaching Physics at Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A-Level.
Leadership experience or significant responsibility within a science department.
Strong organizational, communication, and team leadership skills.
A passion for science education and a commitment to developing the next generation of scientists.
