My Client are a large-scale retailer within the Health and Wellness industry who are looking to bring on board a Head of Logistics Systems into their site based in Staffordshire.
The key responsibilities of the Head of Logistics Systems based in Staffordshire will include but not be limited to the following.
Conduct fit-gap analyses to identify gaps between current processes and desired outcomes.
Prepare comprehensive business cases to support proposed changes and improvements.
Lead functionality and process reviews to refine and optimise operational work flows.
Develop and enhance operating model to cover the entire distribution process, including order fulfilment, inventory management, warehousing, and transportation.
Act as a senior point of contact between business stakeholders and tech teams to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions.
Translate business requirements into clear and actionable technical specifications.
Evaluate and adopt advanced distribution technologies such as automation, robotics, artificial intelligence, and data analytic.
Implement innovative solutions to improve efficiency, visibility, and overall performance across the distribution network.
Apply best practices and lean principles to streamline processes and optimise resource allocation.
Design and implement changes to Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Warehouse Control Systems (WCS) in collaboration with tech teams.
Advise business users on how to maximise the use of WMS/WCS platforms.
The successful candidate of the Head of Logistics Systems based in Staffordshire will have the following experience, skills and characteristics.
Demonstrate expertise in logistics systems, with extensive experience in the design, implementation, and optimisation of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Warehouse Control Systems (WCS).
Comprehensive knowledge of warehouse operations, including processes related to inventory management, order fulfilment, and transportation logistics.
Familiarity with the challenges and best practices associated with efficient warehouse management.
Proven ability to apply analytic problem-solving skills to identify inefficiencies and design innovative, data-driven solutions.
Capable of addressing both immediate operational challenges and long-term strategic objectives through a structured and thoughtful approach.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling seamless collaboration across diverse teams and departments.
Skilled in translating complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment and shared understanding.
