Head of Financial Reporting - Rapidly Developing Group Salary and Perks £80,000 -£100,00 28 days Holiday Company discounts EAP Private Health Care Lifestyle discounts The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role with a large companies within retail, hospitality or Audit Brands This role involves incorporating, managing and developing current reporting tools across the group with over 100 venues and the management accounts, statutory accounts, overseeing the annual audit, tax returns and other regulatory returns.
Key responsibilities and duties Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team Overseeing a finance team and ensuring they are maintaining their standards and levels of work as well as your own Working with Venue General Managers, to coach and guide through their P&Ls Oversee the preparation of and audit of all financial information, including management accounts and product analysis Working with the leadership team to prepare forward looking information including budgets, forecasts etc.
Develop performance measures that support the company's strategic direction Consolidation of statutory accounts and overseeing financial audits, working with external auditors Preparation of the group's statutory accounts Prepare tax packs for tax reporting Assist with the production of Management Accounts and Finance Board Pack every period Provide variance analysis and commentary for any deviations to budget/forecast/last year Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts, including identification of areas of risk and opportunity Develop and maintain financial controls Prepare reconciliations and analysis to support monthly business reviews and balance sheet reviews Skill Set Postgraduate with a professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA, fully qualified).
Proven experience in preparing consolidated statutory accounts and managing external audits.
Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS.
Proficiency in IT, with advanced skills in Excel.
Experience with CCH Accounts Production or similar accounting software.
ability to work flexibly under tight deadlines.
Excellent communication skills.
