Vacancy Reference: 47283 Salary: £60,000 per annum Location: Leicester or Surrey, hybrid working with 1-2 days required in the office Lincoln Cornhill is proud to be working with a reputable Housing Association in Leicestershire , who are seeking to appoint a Head of Decants on a 12-month fixed term contract.
The position is due to start immediately, with working hours of 35 hours per week.
The appointed candidate will lead a dedicated team focused on supporting residents through temporary and permanent rehousing, ensuring the safety and security of residents with the community.
The candidate will be instrumental in establishing positive relationships between the organisation and residents through challenging circumstances.
The range of duties which are covered include: To lead a specialist Decants team of 6, whilst working alongside lettings, development, voids and asset management Taking ownership of service quality and ensuring that residents are supported throughout To work with development and commercial teams to support with the delivery of the Planned Disposal Programme Create and own a comprehensive programme for Decant training and skill enhancement across departments Monitor and manage decant budgets and associated costs Partner with specialised agencies to devise initiatives aimed at providing rehousing options, tailoring these efforts to suit the specific needs of residents and address key issues Establish a framework of temporary housing suppliers Conduct regular meetings with voids and asset management to action plan cases Implement policies and processes to tackle tenancy breaches Respond to complaints pertaining to decant cases in a timely manner Experience and skills required: Experience of working in a senior management role within housing, lettings or similar fields Will hold a relevant professional housing qualification or can demonstrate they are working towards Development and execution of strategic plans, and lead on projects and budgets Must have worked with a diverse range of stakeholders, including residents, community groups and Local Authorities Used analytics to measure and improve performance within previous roles The ideal candidate must have similar experience gained from roles like Head of Lettings, Head of Decants, Project Management or Housing Operations Manager For further information on the vacancy or to enquire about other suitable posts please email ****** If this position is not for you, but you know of someone who may be suitable please pass on our contact details.
