Head of Buying & Supply Chain

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and results-driven Head of Buying & Supply Chain to join our team.
This role will oversee and optimize the development of our product range, manage our supply chain operations, and work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency and maintain high levels of service and product quality.
Key Responsibilities: Supply Chain Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute a supplier sourcing strategy Support Merchandising in planning supplier production volumes Negotiate with suppliers to secure purchase order volumes and dates.
Commercial Range Development: Develop a product development strategy Guide the Buyer to create and manage a critical NPD process Analyze competitor set and market trends Develop a strategy for spare parts and price architecture Supplier Management & Relationship Building: Manage and nurture strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers in China Conduct regular supplier visits, audits, and performance reviews Negotiate contracts, terms, and product pricing with suppliers Logistics & Operations Coordination: Oversee logistics operations, including shipping and inventory management Coordinate with freight forwarders and logistics providers Management of Technical Resource: Identify and address risks in the supply chain Ensure adherence to ethical standards and overall quality Manage the relationship with SEDEX for ethical and quality standards Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives to enhance the efficiency and flexibility of the supply chain Present regular supply chain performance reports to senior management Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
A Master's degree or relevant certifications is a plus.
Experience: 8-10 years in supply chain management, with at least 5 years focused on managing suppliers in China or other Asia-Pacific regions.
Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Analytical mindset with experience in using data to drive decisions and improvements.
Languages: Fluent in English, proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is a plus.
