About the Role As Head of Business Development, you will be at the forefront of Pacts growth and innovation.
With a focus on securing sustainable income, youll steer our business development strategy, engage with a wide network of partners, and play a hands-on role in developing funding opportunities that fuel Pacts vision.
From working with commissioners to fostering key relationships in the justice and health sectors, this role is about creating pathways for transformative impact.
Your Role and Responsibilities: Leadership & Strategy: Lead and inspire a dynamic team, driving Pacts business development strategy to meet income targets and align with our broader growth goals.
Income Generation & Partnership Building: Be a hands-on leader in bid writing, partnership development, and cultivating relationships with commissioners and funders.
Team Management: Oversee and develop the Business Development team, creating plans to maximize income from targeted services, including Family and Significant Others Services, Prison Education, and NHSE initiatives.
Business Development Delivery: Take charge of managing bids, securing funding, and expanding our services within justice and community sectors.
Strategic Development & Networking: Represent Pact at key events and actively contribute to the organizations leadership, working with Executive colleagues to ensure Pacts mission is met effectively.

First Interviews are scheduled to be conducted via Teams on 2nd December, followed by meeting the BD Team via Teams w/c 9th December, and interview Stage 2 and presentation on 16th December.
This post is subject to a 6-month probationary period, verification of identity and proven right to work in the UK, satisfactory references from previous employers covering a 3-year period, declaration of any unspent criminal convictions (and where appropriate a satisfactory risk assessment), a Disclosure and Barring Service basic check, and potentially prison vetting.

Please note that being bankrupt or having County Court Judgements may affect your ability to be successfully vetted to work in a prison.
The post holder will be expected to comply with any requirements of their registration/professional body to maintain their registration and good standing including continuing professional development, appraisal and revalidation where appropriate.
Location: Homeworking / Pact central office with regular visits to Pact sites nationally Contract: Full Time, Permanent Salary £57,500 Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday You may have experience of the following: Business Development Executive, Business Development Manager, BDM, Sales Director, Contract Sales Director, New Business Development, Sales Representative etc.
