Insignia are currently recruiting a Group Finance Director to join our expanding team.
The Finance Director will be primarily responsible for providing financial leadership and analysis of the group's regulated business.
Additionally, this role will be required to provide effective leadership for the management and delivery of all financial functions in support of the global business plan across multiple sites and teams.
Over time the Finance Director will develop and manage relationships with external investors and bank partners.
Key Responsibilities: Assist in formulating Insignia's strategic direction and initiatives including: Analysis of opportunities supporting the business to drive profitable growth by making the correct in/divestment decisions.
Supervise acquisition due diligence and negotiate acquisitions.
Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans.
Development of financial and tax strategies.
Participation in corporate strategy and policy development as a member of the senior management team being a catalyst for change.
Oversee IT & IT Security.
Development of performance measures and financial information that supports the companys strategic direction: Review and implementation of an adequate Management Information System across the regulated entities.
Assess and implement financial information systems ensuring positioning, timeliness and accuracy of management reporting and accounts.
Representation of the company to financial partners, including financial institutions, auditors, public officials, etc.
Creation of an effective analytics capability to prepare product specific feasibility studies and prepare business plans.
Together with the legal department ensure legal and regulatory compliance across all entity's functions.
Strategic and tactical management of Finance Operations including: Oversight of financial operations for all subsidiary companies globally.
This will include management of the finance teams across the business units, providing leadership, coaching, and mentoring.
Oversight of the companys transaction processing systems Management of accounting, tax, treasury, and investor relations alongside ownership of capital request and budgeting across the Insignia Group.
Ownership of the annual business planning and budgeting process.
Oversight of payroll, cash, investment, and asset management alongside cash flow planning and availability of funds as needed including preparing relevant information and taking the lead to secure working capital and/or other adequate debt financing to support business expansion.
Ensure maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures.
Responsibility for service level agreements and performance with external suppliers and partner organizations e.g., our external accountants, auditors etc.
Drive operational best practice across finance and business management.
Risk Management leadership across all jurisdictions including: Understand and mitigate key elements of the companys risk profile.
Construct and monitor reliable financial control systems e.g., income statements, cash flow statements, budget sheets, accounting systems, operating ratios.
Ensure that the company complies with all financial regulatory requirements and meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies e.g., tax submissions, statutory and regulatory financial reporting.
Report risk issues to the audit committee and the Board of Directors, as appropriate.
Coordination of Insignia Boards.
Professional Requirements: Significant experience in a senior financial management position, ideally as a Finance Director/ CFO partnering with executive staff, resulting in the development and implementation of innovative financial management strategies.
Proven track record of delivery of a finance management and technical accounting strategy in a financial services environment.
Strong financial, planning and analysis and operational background including excellent analytical and risk awareness.
Background in building and developing relationships across geographically diverse entities.
Demonstrable leadership ability and interpersonal skills.
Experience of financial project and change management.
Experience of financing and investment management.
Full accountancy qualification either ACA, CIMA or equivalent.
Desirable : Experience in a banking business specifically HNW and UHNW or card issuing (payment system) organization.
MBA qualification.
