This is a great opportunity for a qualified accountant with demonstrable post-qualified reporting and management experience, who wishes to further their experience within one of the UK's largest insurance companies.
As the Group External Reporting Senior Manager , you will oversee and manage the financial consolidation processes for the Aviva plc Group.
Your role is crucial in ensuring the accurate and timely reporting of consolidated financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
You will collaborate closely with business unit finance teams, auditors, and senior leadership to deliver consolidated reports, financial analyses, and ensure the smooth operation of the financial close process.
A bit about the job: Main responsibilities of this position will include leading the end-to-end consolidation process for the group's financial statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness, as well as consolidation of quarterly and annual financial results from multiple subsidiaries and entities, while ensuring compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and other applicable regulations.
In terms of reporting, you will prepare consolidated financial statements including balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement, and changes in equity, provide analysis of group financial performance and identify key trends and variances.
You will support the delivery of the final designed reports and assist in the verification process of press releases, scripts, and other relevant materials.
You will also manage a team based across the UK and Sri Lanka and act as a key point of contact for any consolidation-related issues or queries.
Skills and experience we're looking for: Qualified Accountant A strong track record of reporting, disclosure, and assurance best practices, ideally in a listed plc environment, as well as experience in reporting processes and governance Organizational skills with the ability to manage high volumes and multiple deadlines.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate across all levels and geographies.
Leadership skills and people management experience.
